A little about me...
I'm humbled that you're taking the time to learn about me. My name is Yuwari Wisala, but you can call me Ari. My heart beats for Scripture, and I am on a constant journey to live a life deeply rooted in spiritual fulfillment. You'll also find me strumming music on my acoustic guitar or challenging myself in different sports like surfing, snowboarding, tennis, and golf. I have a passion for travel, immersing myself in nature, exploring new languages, connecting with people from all walks of life, and caring for animals. I firmly believe that the presence of God can be found in all things.
I was born and raised on a farm, a small village in Udon Thani, Thailand, where I learned the value of hard work early on. In 2007, I moved to the United States to be with my mother and older brother. This move opened doors to new experiences — I learned English and attended church for the first time. Watching my brother join the U.S. Army sparked a desire in me to someday serve this great nation.
On Christmas morning in 2021, I found my faith in Christ and became a Christian. This pivotal moment led me to commit to deepening my relationship with the Lord, shaping my spiritual identity, and dedicating myself to discipleship. After earning my first Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, I joined the United States Army Chaplain Corps as a Chaplain Candidate. In June 2024, I was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant by the Chief of Chaplains Maj. Gen. Bill Green at Ft. Liberty, NC. I am now obtaining a second Masters degree in Theology and Ministry with a concentration in biblical languages at Regent University.
I have extensive experience in business development and marketing, including establishing the nationwide expansion of Topgolf's Photography Department and launching Wesnick Marketing. In 2020, I felt called to shift my focus to behavioral and mental health, working with children with special needs and trauma-informed populations. I have had the privilege of working and training at Oregon Health and Science University and Cornerstone Programs Community Counseling.
My life's mission is to serve the Lord and spread the Good News to the world. It is a tremendous honor and a privilege that I hold dear. I am constantly in awe of the opportunities I have as an American citizen to serve God and this beautiful country. Every blessing in my life is a testament to the Lord's goodness, and I praise Him for it all.
